Katie Naranjo is the President of the College Democrats of America (CDA). Elected in August 2008, she previously served for two years on the CDA executive board as programs director – organizing CDA’s National Lobby Day for College Affordability and college canvassing campaigns in Wisconsin, Kentucky and Louisiana. Katie is the leading force behind CDA’s “Precinct Project” – an ambitious field plan to register and mobilize at least 250,000 new voters on college campuses in swing states.

A Senior majoring in Government and Public Relations at the University of Texas, Katie is also the Vice President of the Texas Young Democrats. She is a frequent blogger for Texas's largest political blogs, Burnt Orange Report and Texas Blue, and has been quoted and featured in The American Prospect, Politico, Dallas Morning News and the documentary 18 in ‘08.
