O No Canada (VIDEO)

What's Your Reaction:

This week Kelly reports from the Sheraton Hotel in Toronto--where she never received her wake-up call or (worse!) her pot of coffee.

WATCH:

Legend has it that Kelly and her pal Justine Bateman had a vision in an upstate NY forest of a giant Jackalope leaping through a starburst and knew the time had come for a talk show that would express the views that aren't on THE VIEW. They knew there were others who wanted to wake up and get real too, and so "Wake Up And Get Real" (WUAGR) was born. Watch archived episodes of "Wake Up and Get Real" at www.wakeupandgetreal.com. And check back here for future ones.

Hey, we're perfectly willing to accept videos recorded after you wake up, even if it is later. Really.

As a social worker who works with disabled, homeless, and vulnerable adults in a major metropolis who cannot even afford coffee machines, it sickens me to view such an attitude of entitlement expressed in a media outlet. This video is a testament to the fashion industry being meaningless to humanity. Maybe Kelly Cutrone should realize there are REAL PROBLEMS in this world and we don't all care to read about her 15 minute wake up call.

Not sure who this lady ranting on and on is and don't really care which media outlet she works for, but she is right.

It's reasonable to have certain expectations when booking a room with the Sheraton name attached to it....really though, how DOES that happen when you ask for a 5:45am wake up call and they call you at 6? Once the request is made don't they just punch that time in a computer so the wake up call is automatic? Sounds like someone wasn't doing their job.

It was shoddy treatment on the Sheraton's part (I'm a card member with them!); stayed at one of their competitors hotel recently, that was a great stay.

Having viewed several of these videos as well as some episodes of your "reality" show, it is apparent to me that you have a certain attitude towards others that you view as somehow "less" than you are. It is also apparent that not everone is as impressed with you as you are. It's a shame you were never taught humility, or even manners for that matter. If so, your considerable talents would mean something....as it is, they are overshadowed by poor behavior.

Accidents happen? No. And anyone who says so and wants a successful business is kidding themselves. We're living in an age where customers point of view is EXTREMELY important and if anything else, this blog gives voice to the people. Instead of attacking a person and what they look like the focus should be on how the employee had treated the customer. This was a job that anyone could do. This is a person that PAID for a service on BUSINESS and it wasn't delivered, and the SERVICE mistreated not by giving MORE of herself or of the business but instead by making rude remarks.
Seriously. Wake up and get real.

thats true

i dont want to sound overly dramatic

but as you said, customer POV is EXTREMELY important

such actions are UNACCEPTABLE

especially in light of what an incredibly amazing human being this woman is

one of the best women (in my opinion) on the entire planet

as such, to not have her coffee for her was a MAJOR mistake

and i can only hope that they devote themselves with "full force and intent" to making her happy next time she stays there

...if they are even lucky enough to be allowed to serve her again

if she goes somewhere else, they can only have themselves to blame

and the loss of this wonderful woman as a customer, will clearly be their loss.

when i see things like this, i feel sad
and i just wish there was more i could do

but at least she's not staying silent

she's letting the world know, through her "digital megaphone" about the issues that need to be talked about

sure, it may seem minor, but if we dont start making the world better, starting with the small things

how can we, as humanity, ever hope to all get along with each other one day?

i may be being hyperbolic, but i think we may look back upon this as a turning point in history

and regardless of what happens, we can all (in this day) just take a moment, and be glad that she shared her humour, and creativity with us

Apparently the meditation didn't help much. Mistakes happen - that does not give her carte blanche to berate people. Who ever even heard of this self-important obnoxious shrew named Kelly ? YOU NEED TO MEDITATE MORE MS. CUTRONE and do something about your hair.

Hmmmm. Wasn't that an alarm clock at the beginning of the clip?
09:58 PM on 07/22/2010
puh-lease

stars cant be expected to set their own alarm clocks

they dont have alarm clocks, they have "people" for that

aaah,,, I see. That also shoots down my next theory; with the amount of time she wasted making this video, she could have gone to Starbucks.

She is rude and her behaviour is incredibly diva like. I can't imagine having to deal with this over reactive behaviour as an employee of the hotel, as a friend or a family member.

They should do whatever they can to appease her within reason but no need for the dramatics.

Mistakes happen.

Get over it.

Ms. Cutrone, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that was caused. We value our guest feedback and always use it as an opportunity to improve. The hotel’s General Manager will be in touch with you shortly, if not already. - The Sheraton Team

That woman is so rude I wouldn't have woken her up either.
(and she clearly does not deserve coffee).

Although I find the rant a little over the top, I do understand the need people feel to be WOW'd or taken care of when staying at a four star hotel.

I also send kudos to the Huffington Post for posting this Video Article even though the "Sheraton" brand is advertising all over their site... (including this article at the time of my reading)

Blood pressure......really? I'd say 'attitude' that is unacceptable. My condolences to whoever gets involved with this sycophant.
