This week Kelly reports from the Sheraton Hotel in Toronto--where she never received her wake-up call or (worse!) her pot of coffee.
WATCH:
Legend has it that Kelly and her pal Justine Bateman had a vision in an upstate NY forest of a giant Jackalope leaping through a starburst and knew the time had come for a talk show that would express the views that aren't on THE VIEW. They knew there were others who wanted to wake up and get real too, and so "Wake Up And Get Real" (WUAGR) was born. Watch archived episodes of "Wake Up and Get Real" at www.wakeupandgetreal.com. It's reasonable to have certain expectations when booking a room with the Sheraton name attached to it....really though, how DOES that happen when you ask for a 5:45am wake up call and they call you at 6? Once the request is made don't they just punch that time in a computer so the wake up call is automatic? Sounds like someone wasn't doing their job.
It was shoddy treatment on the Sheraton's part (I'm a card member with them!); stayed at one of their competitors hotel recently, that was a great stay.
Seriously. Wake up and get real.
i dont want to sound overly dramatic
but as you said, customer POV is EXTREMELY important
such actions are UNACCEPTABLE
especially in light of what an incredibly amazing human being this woman is
one of the best women (in my opinion) on the entire planet
as such, to not have her coffee for her was a MAJOR mistake
and i can only hope that they devote themselves with "full force and intent" to making her happy next time she stays there
...if they are even lucky enough to be allowed to serve her again
if she goes somewhere else, they can only have themselves to blame
and the loss of this wonderful woman as a customer, will clearly be their loss.
when i see things like this, i feel sad
and i just wish there was more i could do
but at least she's not staying silent
she's letting the world know, through her "digital megaphone" about the issues that need to be talked about
sure, it may seem minor, but if we dont start making the world better, starting with the small things
how can we, as humanity, ever hope to all get along with each other one day?
i may be being hyperbolic, but i think we may look back upon this as a turning point in history
and regardless of what happens, we can all (in this day) just take a moment, and be glad that she shared her humour, and creativity with us
stars cant be expected to set their own alarm clocks
they dont have alarm clocks, they have "people" for that
They should do whatever they can to appease her within reason but no need for the dramatics.
Mistakes happen.
Get over it.
(and she clearly does not deserve coffee).
I also send kudos to the Huffington Post for posting this Video Article even though the "Sheraton" brand is advertising all over their site... (including this article at the time of my reading)
