Danny Brown has become one the great success stories coming from our hip-hop scene here in Detroit. Always staying true to himself, he's been able to carve out his own lane in the music industry and show the world exactly who he is. Last year, Danny Brown put on the first Thanksgiving Bruiser Brigade show in Detroit and it was an absolute smash. This year, he's bringing it back to the Majestic Theatre in Detroit on Wednesday, November 25th, but this time around it's going to be a charity event.

Danny Brown is partnering with InsideOut Detroit's City Wide Poets Project to raise money for both the CWP and the Detroit Public Schools with an aim to get real poets in the classrooms in Detroit to teach workshops with the students. Even Danny Brown will be teaching a workshop the day of the show connecting poetry to the hip-hop culture.

If you are a poet in the Detroit area and would like to get involved in some way, email me at djkfresh@gmail.com and I'll get you connected with the right people.

Danny Brown's Bruiser Brigade Thanksgiving goes down Wednesday, November 25th at the Majestic Theatre in Detroit. For more information on Danny Brown, visit xdannyxbrownx.com.
