Do you dream of becoming a celebrity?
Have you ever considered that you are more like the celebrities in your dreams than you realize?
So, what does it mean when you dream of a celeb?
My dear friend and D-Spot Radio Show co-host, Joan Gelfand, shared with me a dream she had featuring Barbara Streisand. In her dream Babs (she's on a first name basis with her in her dream) was telling her that the novel she was writing should be a movie... and that she (Babs) would produce it!
Even though Joan was thrilled and inspired by this dream... she was swamped by her real life demands of being a single mom working a full-time job, and her dream got put on the back burner.
Cut to present time -- 20 years since the 'Babs' dream -- Joan incubated over the past two decades and... drumroll please... today she is negotiating the multi-media rites for her novel!
YEAH JOAN!
Soooo... what dreams have you been incubating?
The point here isn't that it took Joan 20 years to get the confidence to believe that her novel was the stuff movies are made of... I believe the point is that it's taken 20 years for Joan to fully embrace her inner Babs (who, according to Joan, represents a strong, powerful, Jewish woman -- which Joan totally is). And now that she has fully embraced her inner Babs... the rocket of her success is taking off! Oy vey!
There are so many stories like this, where a dreamtime celebrity enters our dreamscape to help us become more successful in our waking lives. For some of us, it doesn't have to take 20 years (not that there's anything wrong with that... because in the realm of dreams time is but a blip). If we are open to it, these dreams can change us in the blink of an eye.
