Where: Lopburi, Thailand
When: Every year on the last Sunday of November
Why Go? This exotic feast is literally a feeding frenzy, but don't expect an invitation to the banquet as the festival is for monkeys only. Known to bring good fortune, the locals of Lopburi arrange a gigantic all-you-can eat buffet to pay tribute to the hundreds of long-tailed macaques that live amongst the town's ancient temples. With over four tonnes of food ranging from fresh fruits to soda pop, this wild monkey fueled madness is as close to organized chaos as a traveler can get.
