MSNBC's Rachel Maddow did a great work up last night on a relatively unknown (until now), but huge player in the 20-year climate misinformation campaign.
Maddow points to a very detailed report released by Greenpeace USA, naming oil giant Koch Industries Inc., - the second largest private company in the US - as the top funder of a right-wing libertarian think tank network that has been echoing distortions and misinformation about the realities of climate change.
Like the tobacco spindoctors of the 80's, doubt is the product being peddled by these think tanks and the goal is to delay regulations that might hurt the bottom lines of companies like Koch Industries.
