Online Career Fair for Veterans With Disabilities

On December 17, Veteran Recruiting, and dozens of America's finest employers will host an online career fair for veterans with disabilities. Different from a traditional career fair that requires the job seeker to travel to a physical location, the virtual career fair allows them to join from anywhere.

Jordan Miller, a retired army veteran with a disability rating of 70 percent, said "I have been out of work for more than 6 months now, and I am looking forward to connecting with companies online. I have a tough time getting around due to having both knees replaced, and I am hoping to find a job that will allow me to work from home"

Since September 2011, more than 40,000 veterans have been hired through the Veteran Recruiting virtual career fairs, and more than 600 employers have participated.

Companies that will participate on December 17 include:
Aetna, Airgas, BNSF Railway, Capital One, Citi, Comcast, Comerica, Convergys, DaVita, Exelon, Graybar, IHG, Lowe's, Loyola Marymount University, Penske, Pfizer, Philips, The Mission Continues, Travelers, TSA, USAA, U.S Department of Education, Union Pacific Railroad, WellPoint, Wells Fargo, Western & Southern Life, and Xerox.
