Australia's Amazing Beach Skydive

Chances are you've never heard of Jurien Bay, Australia. Before receiving a postcard from the tiny coastal town, neither had I.

Located 140 miles north of Perth in Western Australia, Jurien Bay is known for its endless beaches, emerald green ocean waters and delicious rock lobster (crayfish if you're a local). But none of those things were mentioned on the postcard I received for The 30 Postcards Project. Instead it simply read "This is what it looks like to skydive Jurien Bay, Enjoy!"

So with camera in hand I suited up for my very first skydive ever. If you're at all afraid of heights or nervous about jumping out of a plane, I would have been good company for you prior to Jurien Bay. I was petrified!

But in the end I learned that the reason so many people are addicted to this sport is because after my first two seconds of ultimate terror -- it really only lasted two seconds! -- it turned out to be the most amazing and thrilling of experiences. And we captured it all on video:
