Why people continue to watch this rigged nonsense is beyond me.
I can't believe that we're already at the end of Season 7! This has definitely been my favorite season (Of course I'm understandably a little biased toward Season 2).
The talent has been absolutely off the charts this year. Every episode has been truly satisfying with all of the positive changes that Idol has made this year. From adding the instruments, to the new stage, and the audience being more intimate than ever with the contestants, American Idol has done the impossible... and, once again, gotten even bigger than last year.
We're now down to the final 3 of what I think is the most unique top 12 ever and I have to give kudos to Syesha for being the last girl standing. She has truly blossomed into a very charismatic performer and she has been absolutely glowing these past few weeks! And, of course, vocally, she has definitely earned her spot in the top 3. We've definitely all been pleasantly surprised with all of the un-generic arrangements that David Cook has pulled out of his hat. Just like Randy says, he's the resident rocker and I think, win or lose, we can all expect an amazing album. The guy was born for success! And last, but not least, Mr. Smiles, David Archuleta. He might as well have a halo hanging over his head! He gives me chills every time he opens his mouth. So consistent and so genuine... he never disappoints.
With all three of these contestants being so worthy of the crown, I can't wait to see who will be our final two and I think that this season's finale will be one of the closest wins yet.
To get the inside scoop from industry experts and catch up with former Idol contestants, tune in to "Idol Tonight" with me, Justin Guarini, and Rosanna Tavarez from right outside the American Idol backstage door on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the TV Guide Network. And, be sure to be with us next week for special episodes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights as we count down to the finale!

It's not rigged, ya fool!
people?...you mean women right? MEN (straight men) don't watch Idol unless they lose remote privileges that night. But that's ok Football season is approaching and we know who will get the remote then...

um... no actually it's ratings are down this year and they are absolutely tanking in a few key demos.
Boring songs, boring performances, boring commentary. The only thing worth watching on idol is how drunk Paula is and what she does. Maybe next year they can have a Carly Simon night or a Dean Martin night or a Kenny G night. Neil Diamond and Dolly were pathetic efforts. Andy Webber was better than expected except for the songs. I mean how many times can we listen to the same songs, sung in the same style by (practically) the same people year after year. I bailed on this season 2 months ago. Go away American Idol. Either that or go topless.
I think many of the performances have been wonderful, the top three are all very excellent singers. So the show is no longer as fresh as in the earlier years. That's life so feel free to move on. No reason to be so hateful because they can't continually up ones non-productive couch sitting adrenaline. These kids work very hard for their futures. I commend them.
