Meet The LGBT Delegates At The 2012 Democratic Convention

For the first time in history the LGBT community has a delegate from every state present at the DNC. The total number is around 550, up 200 from the 2008 convention. This year's Democratic platform also includes marriage equality for the first time.

I spoke to Deb Butler, a candidate for North Carolina Senate, and several delegates about the excitement and importance of this historic election.
