Kurt Braunohler is a comedian and host of IFC’s exciting improv comedy show Bunk which airs Fridays at 10:30pm ET/PT.

Kurt has been seen (or heard) on TV in Bob’s Burgers (FOX), Delocated (Adult Swim), The Heart She Holler (Adult Swim), Comedy Central Presents, Jon Benjamin Has a Van (Comedy Central), Assy McGee (Adult Swim) and Human Giant (MTV). He can also be heard on the radio on This American Life talking about his 13-year relationship Rumspringa.

As a stand up comedian, Kurt debuted his high-energy, absurdist point-of-view on Comedy Central's John Oliver Presents in June. As far as stages, Kurt has performed at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival, the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and Chicago, the New York Comedy Festival (named a "Comic to Watch"), SXSW, Bonaroo, All Tomorrow’s Parties, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (IF.Comedy Award nominee), the Melbourne Comedy Festival (Barry Award Winner), the HBO Vegas Comedy Festival, the Chicago Improv Festival ("Improv Ensemble of the Year” Award Winner) and he once performed at Radio City Music Hall, but only because his comedy partner (Kristen Schaal) is pretty famous.

He was recently named a "Comic to Watch" by Comedy Central, the New York Comedy Festival, and Time Out NY, as well as “Best Male Stand-Up” by the ECNY and “Best Unscripted Host” by the New York Television Festival.

Kurt co-created a pilot for Channel 4 in the UK with his comedy partner, Kristen Schaal, for their popular web-series, Penelope: Princess of Pets. The duo have also hosted the NYC staple variety show, “Hot Tub,” for the past seven years. Kurt also hosts the monthly late night talk show, Night of the Living with Kurt Braunohler, with past guests including Zach Galifianakis, Ted Leo, and Jon Glaser.

Kurt holds the World Record for leading the most people in an all-meow version of “Lean on Me” (it's 117 people.)
