Kushal is the co-founder and CEO of Vittana. Vittana builds some of the world's first student loan programs in developing countries. Vittana is a featured education non-profit in the Clinton Global Initiative and has been dubbed "a hotbed of innovation" by the Economist, named one of the "10 Most Innovative Finance Companies" by Fast Company and featured in leading publications like the New York Times and the LA Times. Students from Vittana programs have a 97.4% repayment rate and, on average, have a 291% income change, going from $6/day to $18/day after graduation.

Most recently, Kushal ran technology for a $1B+ team at Amazon.com and is the author of 20+ patents, papers and talks. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.S. in computer science and B.A. in molecular biology. In his (copious) free time, he runs Ironman triathlons and trains guide dogs for the blind. Kushal lives in Seattle with his 13-year-old German Shepherd and was recently named one of Seattle's Top 40 Under 40.
