My initial inspiration for creating the following list struck me while thinking of a friend who committed suicide just over a year ago. Once up a time, her eyes sparkled with a celebration and zest for life. Sadly, she eventually allowed the darkness in and it distracted her from all of the beauty which surrounded her. That beauty could have sustained her, had she allowed it to. Life is wonderful adventure that no one should ever give up on. My intention is that this list it will provide hope for just one person who cannot seem to find a reason to stay.
When one dies, we ache only for another day to love them. All of those left behind cling to every celebratory aspect of that person, immersing themselves in every shred and morsel of the love-filled memories they desperately wish to revisit. All of the grudges, the ego-driven arguments, the financial failures and the superficial agendas become meaningless when we are met with the finality of death.
So while you're here, make the most of it. Swim around in some love today. Find something to marvel at. There are an abundance of reasons to celebrate all of the wonder life provides, yet we often exist hoping for the heavens to part and captivate us with an explosion of stars. What if the magic is in the seemingly small, quiet moments we take for granted? Life is just a celebration of love and joy, and the human experience is simply miraculous. Below are 51 reasons why...
