9/11 Smackdown! Ahmadinejad vs. Giuliani on the WWF

The WWF will feature a series of grudge matches between Rudy Giuliani and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad this fall--if the Republican candidate can squeeze the appearances in between other campaign events. At least his opponent will look very much like the Iranian president, though it may be difficult to verify his identity underneath his ceremonial robes. So far "the Irresistible Iranian" (as he calls himself) hasn't been too cooperative with WWF identity verification officials, but they seem to be willing to take his word for it.

Meanwhile, Giuliani's corner expects the strutting bantam cock Ahmadinejad to deliver low blows before the bell and when Rudy isn't looking. After these illegal blows, when Rudy is momentarily stunned, Ahmadinejad will jump through the ropes to attack the crowd screaming in what may or may not be Farsi, interspersed with heavily accented English. But when Rudy and referee Joe Lieberman realize what's going on behind them, they will pursue Ahmadinejad, will stop, pummel and pulverize him.

Giuliani's entourage will include a full compliment of heroes from the New York Fire Department, although no actual firemen have agreed to appear, so they will be portrayed by actors. Also, his many wives and mistresses (or again, scantily-clad actresses in these roles) will parade around the ring with placards announcing the beginning of each round, and possibly engage in a little free-for-all themselves, which will amuse the hero of 9/11, excite the crowd and enrage his pious opponent.

At times in what promises to be a series of dramatic, seesaw encounters, Ahmadinejad will appear to have the upper hand, but Rudy will win in the end. And the former New York City mayor promises that when the Supreme Court declares him our next president, the Irresistible Iranian will rue the day he kicked him in the balls!
