Here's an idea for an Obama ad: a montage of Clinton's Sybillish personalities that have surfaced during the campaign with a solemn voiceover at the end saying, "Does anyone want this nut answering the phone?"

How is it that she became the one who's perceived as more equipped to answer that 3 a.m. call than the unflappable Obama? He, with the ice in his veins, who doesn't panic when he's losing or get too giddy when he's winning, who's as comfortable in his own skin as she's uncomfortable in hers. There have been times in this campaign when she seemed so unhinged that I worried she'd actually kill herself if she lost. Every day, she reminds me more and more of Adele H., who also had an obsession that drove her insane.

A few weeks ago, I started to feel sorry for her. Oh Christ, let her win already...Who cares...It's not worth it. There's not that much difference between them. She can have it. Anything to avoid watching her descend into madness. So I switched. I started rooting for her. It wasn't that hard. Compromise comes easy to me. I was on board.

And then I saw the ad.

I watched, transfixed, as she took the 3 a.m. call...and I was afraid...very afraid. Suddenly, I realized the last thing this country needs is that woman anywhere near a phone. I don't care if it's 3 a.m. or 10 p.m. or any other time. I don't want her talking to Putin, I don't want her talking to Kim Jong Il, I don't want her talking to my nephew. She needs a long rest. She needs to put on a sarong and some sun block and get away from things for a while, a nice beach somewhere -- somewhere far away, where there are...no phones.

We love you , Larry!!!!! And, you're right, as usual. Hillary IS crrrazzzy. Barack's the one with common sense and good judgment. If Barack is cheated out of the nomination by the Democrat poobahs, the Dems will lose in November.
Oh, andby the way, I hope Democrats are noticing that Republicans, prodded on by
Rush Limbaugh and because they have nothing to lose, are responsible to some extent for Hillary's victories in Tex and Ohio. Republicans are trying to screw things up for the Dems and it looks like Democratic party elders are too stupid or too intimidated by the Clintons to realize that many Hillary votes are coming from mischief-making Republicans who will never vote for Hillary in the general election.

Isn't that really the Obama take, too? "All the newbies want this soooo much, just give up and let them have it so they don't get disillusioned with politics."

Nope. It's called, he won the votes. The winner wins. Not the loser.

Hillary is a crybaby who wants to destroy the DNC since she lost.

Last time I checked Obama can't reach the "magic" number either. Therefore, neither candidate met the requirement and the party leaders must decide. Nowhere is it stated the closest gets it. If so, then why bother with a number to reach at all? You can't change the rules or make them up as you go to fit your candidate. One of them needed to reach the 2025 number to avoid the party leaders having to make the final decision and they did not do it. He will not come out with a majority and neither will she and let's face it if it was the other way around he wouldn't "bow" out either. It's just a mess!

It's not over yet. This is the weirdest mindcontrol thing I've ever seem. A month ago, the Obama campaign floats this thing about how the superdelegates should not over turn the will of the voters because that would be undemocratic and his followers would be disappointed and take thier ball and go home... Forget that Obama is clearly saying "I won't be a team player. I won't tell my supports to support the nominee, even if it is not me. And, I probably won't campaign for the nominee." Forget that he is trying to change the rules in the middle of the game. Forget that superdelegates were invented for just this kind of situation: a close race, where the two candidates are separated by less than 1% of the votes cast by the people. Superdelegates were created to vote their conscience and to be a safeguard against indepenants taking over our party. Now he tells his followers that SHE is the spoilsport because she won't quit! They are separated by less than 1% of the vote! How dare anyone try to force her out as if she doesn't belong! If you look at who votes for Hillary and who votes for Obama... Hillary is supported by more DEMOCRATS. Obama by independents and republicans. I think DEMOCRATS should choose who will represent the DEMOCRATS in Novemebr. And I hope the DEMOCRATIC superdelegates think so too.

No its called just give up and lets start fund raising and organizing to beat mccain. Why cant you hillary supporters see if you take this all the way to the convention it will ruin the democrats chances in november. The older voters should remember when Humphrey only had 8 weeks to run after the convention and lost to nixon. jeez at least Romney put his party before his ambition.

Not funny. There's a lot of comedic potential to that ad but that video doesn't exploit it....

NicLuc I don't think her emotions were the reason Larry called her Sybillish I think it is the way she changes her postion to suit the situation ,,you know,,for the war then not for the war then back to for the war in the way she supported it sense then and the same with other issues like not for labbiests yet takes campaign money from them ,,she seems to have a dual personality.
Even her red phone video is dual in that she has condemned Bush for his fear tactic's on the American people yet here she is using that same fear tactic on the voters.

Sorry folks but Hillary has a personality problem that would play havoc in the white house with both parties and with foreign leaders as well .Not so with Obama he has a very likeable personality, he makes people want to listen to him unlike Hillary who turns people off and its always going for the throat when things aren't going her way . Anyone who has really watched Hillary over the years knows she has a problem with getting along with her own party let alone the Republicans.
Obama serves up hope in his speaches while she serves up fighting . Is that really what we need is more fighting in our government ?

It is annoying that she has set a tone where everything bad one says about her is made to be a "sexist" remark, or at the very least, a biased one.
Are we to believe that she cannot take a sexist remark, about her or her daughter, but she is equipped to answer the phone at 3:00AM. What if the other side calls her a bitch?
She is starting to freak me out.
I am so afraid I will end up having to vote for her. Because I will vote for the democrat candidate, there is no doubt in my mind....or is there? Can she do it? Can she push me out of my natural first instinct party affiliation? I used to like her, then I started to feel sorry for her, and after her late "comeback", she is now officially freaking me out.
I always experience a physical reaction of repulsion when I see George W on TV, it gives me a chill of some sort, an uneasy feeling that the world is going to hell. And lately, when I see her on TV, I have started cringing. She is no George W, I want to believe that. But she is starting to get on my nerve in a similar way. Please, Gods of politics, make it easy for me when November comes, please provide me with a candidate that does not give me a chill of terror in my back.
The whole phone thing is so fear-monging, and so phony. That is such a cliche, that she would actually answer the phone herself, and have to take action right there and then. Come on, people, there is no such thing, and if there is, in the improbable case where there is such an emergency, and she would have to take a quick decision right there, like we are being bombed with nuclear missiles, or something, then believe me, this would be the least of our problems, who answered the phone.
I dn't think any cadidate is equipped to deal wth such a situation, any candidate or any human being.
That is not how I want to choose my president. Not for that extreme case. No!
But for the other days, the everyday stuff, the policies, the attitude, the openness, the willingness to work to make things better, that is where the candidate matters.
I

Well, this is the time in a campaign when all of us despair. Take two, and call me in the morning, Larry. The trivialities of all of the candidates and their campaigns have become like ingrown hairs in the body politic. How can a commercial, or responses thereto, rise to the level where sane, intelligent adults discuss them at all? Isn't there some other way?

Maybe reduce the length of the campaigns, have primaries all on one day, reduce spending to one- tenth of the present, no contribution from anyone over $100. Violations of campaign funding rules a felony. OR,

Actually (really, measurably, in depth, through college or technical school)educate all children, have valid exams required for voter registration, and let them decide when they grow up!

Thanks Larry I totally agree !

Hasn't any of these Hillary supporters had enough of the fear tactic's Bush put out there for 7+ years now ? Do you really want 8 years of more of the same.
Doesn't this fear mongering in any way remind you just a tad bit of Bush ? If not it should !

How has Hillary explain how she acquired all this knowledge and experience she claims she has just by being first lady and a Senator ? Was it by osmosis ? She had no military clearances or freedom to information as a first lady and she only put forth two relevent bills her whole time as a Senator .Compare that too the list of relevent bills Obama signed or put forth and she comes up short !
Sorry but Hillary has a voting record not much different than the Republican's ! She is not a liberal Democrat by any means and she is not even a middle of the road democrat ,,she is so much more conservative in her political thinking she really should be in the Republican party not the Democratic party.

Larry

Of course we all want Hillary to be the one answering the phone, I mean Come On! Has this campaign not already illustrated the wonderful array of qualities that our future president has.

Listen to her voice, the wonderfully melodic vagueness that is required from any politician trying to live up to George’s rhetorical prowess. She makes any empty promise fill up with HOPE.

People treat her unfairly by saying that her campaign promotes FEAR. And this is Bad? Everybody knows that a good president needs to keep the people in a state of fear so they can continue to do the job properly: Taking over countries, getting his friends filthy rich, creating a false sense of freedom and democracy, eliminating civil liberties and countless other “responsibilities”.

You think Obama, and his short track record posses the skills to make people AFRAID in order to go invade some country. I don’t think so! Only Hillary could brainwash a whole nation in to frenzy to suit-up and go invade. Bush Lite, Yea right!

Have you noticed Hillary’s chameleonic dexterity; the ability to change face depending on the situation that best suits her. Sorry Obama, but your cool is no match. Hillary’s true nature will continue to evade you. Only supporters can really understand her deepest emotions and inflexible moral strength to help corporate interest.

Hillary has shown that she will do whatever it takes to win this election. Her tactics shows a clear picture of how she will deal with those nasty foreign affairs. She will pick up the phone and deliver her wonderfully melodic fear mongering chameleonic sweetness that is Hillary.

Sorry Larry… You Lose

“With respects I think that Hillary is wonderfully talented, intelligent and capable person, (excuse my cynicism) but she is old politics and frankly I am fed up with it. HOPE is not just a catch phrase; it is the sentiment of people who see a person who could for once help make their life and their country a better place to live in without all the fear mongering and media brainwashing”.

CLINTON VETTING ALERT ...

THE LONDON TELEGRAPH REPORTING ...

Nobel winner: Hillary Clinton's 'silly' Irish peace claims

By Toby Harnden in Washington
Last Updated: 9:30am GMT 08/03/2008Page 1

Hillary Clinton had no direct role in bringing peace to Northern Ireland and is a "wee bit silly" for exaggerating the part she played, according to Lord Trimble of Lisnagarvey, the Nobel Peace Prize winner and former First Minister of the province.

"I don’t know there was much she did apart from accompanying Bill [Clinton] going around," he said. Her recent statements about being deeply involved were merely "the sort of thing people put in their canvassing leaflets" during elections.

"She visited when things were happening, saw what was going on, she can certainly say it was part of her experience. I don’t want to rain on the thing for her but being a cheerleader for something is slightly different from being a principal player."

Mrs Clinton has made Northern Ireland key to her claims of having extensive foreign policy experience, which helped her defeat Barack Obama in Ohio and Texas on Tuesday after she presented herself as being ready to tackle foreign policy crises at 3am. ...

Her response will be: "Ah well we can debate the level of my participation until eternity...but the FACT of the matter is....my version is the correct one. And the American people know that....blah...blah....blah...and this election is about leadership....blah....blah....blah....and that's why I'm running for President.....blah....blah.....blah...

She whose "words are cheap" speaks "false hopes".

Hillary is a same-Willy-feather liar and self-serving destroyer of peace, period. Nothing comes out of her is of any good.

"Smart people instinctively understand the dangers of entrusting our future to self-serving leaders who use our institutions, whether in the corporate or social sectors, to advance their own interests."
