Why I Asked Casey Anthony to Pose for Hustler

Posted: 08/03/11 06:11 PM ET

A lot of people are upset about my offer to Casey Anthony to pose in Hustler Magazine. I can understand being upset by the verdict but it doesn't give anyone the right to dismantle the whole justice system. I've said publicly that I agree with the verdict, but she may very well be complicit in the death her daughter. I know that there is a two-year-old child gone and if any of us could bring her back we would. But we can't.

The whole Casey Anthony affair is a morbid phenomenon. The only thing I can equate it to is the interest of others who marry people in prison with no chance of conjugal visits or freedom. Richard Ramirez, the famed Night Stalker, received more marriage proposals than any other prisoner in history.

I did not make my offer to her in a vacuum. The media has spent the past three years making Casey Anthony into a media star. They've breathlessly covered every aspect of the case from the day they learned that little girl was missing. Now that she is out of jail, the media continues to devote hours of programming to even the tiniest bit of information about what she may or may not be doing. Without that, no one would even know who she is.

Larry Flint = true American!

I am just amazed--amazed!--that so many people out there, who did not sit through the trial, who did not hear the evidence presented in detail, who did not participate in the jury deliberations (as Socrates said, true knowledge comes through the informed Dialectic), know with so much moral certainty that Casey Anthony is guilty of murdering her child, that they would wish her all kinds of terrible things.

Which makes me better understand why the Founders of America tried to make sure that the country would be a Republic and not a Democracy. Trouble is they failed: America is becoming more and more a true Democracy...

Larry Flynt,

There is no explanation needed. You own a publication and you happen to publish pictures of nude women. There is an obvious facination with Casey Anthony and you are simply filling a void. You've never made

Only in this country could a mother murder her child and get rich. I was hoping that she would spend at least her childbearing years in prison. Barring that she should spend the rest of her life looking over her shoulder wondering if someone was going to take justice into their own hands. It appears that there is no justice for this child.

that's the saddest part; That this poor little baby girl got absolutely NO justice whatsoever. It really breaks my heart. I have 3 little ones and I'd be out for blood if anyone ever did anything to them!

But, I believe Caley is in heaven now and at least is in no pain or suffering. It's just a shame.

I meant to say "the unhappy life she deserves".

Casey Anthony is lucky to be out free, let alone being asked by ANY one to do anything for them regardless of who, what or why. She needs to disappear and pray for her safety every day. Hopefully if she has a conscience it will give her unhappy live she deserves.

Lucky not? She can't walk or work anywhere in the US especially Florida without getting her butt kicked. She might as well cop a deal and go to Italy and try to work and pay off her astounding debt to the US/Florida/Sheriff Department

Larry just wanted to show the word what they did not see, that the other half did while she was out at the bars

Larry is right. Personally, I would rather buy a magazine that paid Casey for an interview, rather than for naked pictures. I have no interest in seeing her naked...but I do think that an interview would sell a lot of magazines. No matter how many people say that they would never buy anything as long as Casey is making money off of it, I think they would!

The media doesn't give her money to talk about her. That's the difference, Larry.

If you were a journalist or reporter, would you not be paid for your articles?

What? Where was the answer to "Why I asked Casey Anthony to pose Nude." Did I blink and Miss it ? Re read in progress................Nope it's not there. No "I thought it would sell copies", no "It was just a big joke" no nothing .

It looks like to me that the last paragraph alludes to it being "I thought it would sell copies". The rest is a justification of that (putting it in the same class as any outlet that has used the Anthony story to create ratings and sell ad space).

yeah, i kept waiting for 'and I'm going to pay her $500,000 for taking off her clothes, because...?' Just because she's a celebrity? seriously??
04:14 AM on 08/16/2011
THE REASON ISSSSSSSSSSSS Because the media has made her famous and she is hot and men would totally buy the mags, which would never have the selling potential that they now have with the redundant media coverage. Gee how could you guys have missed it?
10:30 PM on 08/07/2011
Really well said.

Fifty years ago this woman and her case would have been headline news in Central Florida, and that would have been it. The 24 hour news cycle demands "product" to feed an ever in creasing audience appetite. I'm not surprised on bit by this, nor am i shocked or outraged.
