ROVE is helping force through the PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY on the campus of Southern Methodist University and CONGRATULATING HIMSELF FOR THE COLLUSION AND CLOUT THAT HE HAS HELPED DESTROY ANY CREDIBILITY OF THE METHODIST CHURCH THROUGH THE 60% OF TRUSTEE BOARD MEMBERS WHO ARE PERSONAL FRIENDS, FORMER EMPLOYEES OR COLLEAGUES OF THE BUSH FAMILY IN DALLAS! That's the truth! Where are good reporters when America needs them?!?!!! That is where ROVE, and now GONZO have GONE- to secure the illegal legacy of the BUSH CRIME FAMILY!
However, at some point, even the most dilusional of parents need to wake up and realize that even my little-boy Neil Bush might have been involved in the 100 Billion dollar rip-off of the savings and loan robbery.
"It's sad that we live in a time when a talented and honourable person like Alberto Gonzales is impeded from doing important work because (I caused) his good name (to be) dragged through the mud for political reasons."
Most of you bloggers are missing the REAL point: By resigning Rumsfield,Rove, Gonzo, et.al. and others to follow can immediately eliminate their chances of ever being charged with anything! Bush can then say (at the Republican Convention) that "not one member of my cabinet was ever charged with a crime or replaced because of corruption!" Unless of course, you include Scooter, but that was a trumped-up charge remember..."no crime was committed".
Now, if only Cheney developed a conscious and "resigned" for the good of the country.
When I think of The Bushies I don't think Corleones, I think (reverse) Oedipus - Oedipus (W)recked dreams of killing his mother and f#@king his 'Poppy'. Your mileage may vary.
A pessimist might be forgiven for wondering if this is yet another chapter in the Rovian master plan to subvert America, these three and others resigning so they may dip below the gaze of public scrutiny to emerge as master manipulators of Election 2008.
I could try and stomach Chertoff for Attorney General even though I know personally he is corrupt and tried to press charges against him and the true criminal Sam Alito..Chertoff's mentor..
Only if Bush named Ray Kelly of NYC, head of Homeland Security..
Larry Gelbart on the Huffington Post!
Laughing Matters is my Bible! (I am rapidly aging humorist.)
Actually, Mrs. Bush will meet with Alberto
in the old Houston Astrodome, where she'll tell him "You know, you'll be better off. . ."
Then there was none. Well, actually two: Bush and Cheney. (But we're still not sure which is the crazy one.) Alberto Gonzales resigned which beats the inevitable investigation and perjury charges. I was just getting to like Alberto too. He was one of the more amusing members of the cabinet. Cute, cuddly, yet able to dismiss one of civilization's major achievements, the Geneva Conventions without a second thought, promote torture, and lie without hesitation at a moment's notice. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Gonzales...My God: where do men like these come from? Especially when you don't need them? If we could find out then maybe we could build a wall. A sort of preemptive protective device to protect us preemptively from knuckleheads.
Bush and Gonzales are old friends. They first met before Bush even had a Texan twang. That's how far back they go. They met over a bowl of pretzels, back before Dubya gave up the bottle, and Gonzales was mastering the art of DUI defense. And now, simply because Gonzales chose loyalty to the man who brung him to the party over the needs of the country, he's going down in flames. Over an alleged act of perjury. As we learned from Scooter Libby, perjury is a crime that only counts when it's leveled against democrats.
Well, Al, we hardly knew ye...Or maybe we knew you too well? Heck, what can you say about a guy who made John Ashcroft look heroic?
The only thing important to Bush at this smoldering stage of his regime after nearly everything else has burned down is to keep the war going until he's out of office (presuming he leaves office). He may've thrown Gonzales overboard to garner some good will with the congress. If that's the case, he needn't've bothered since the cowardly Democrats will never tell The Glorious and Infallible Genius where to head in on Iraq. Or perhaps Bush has unearthed someone even more corrupt and incompetent to be AG. Not a difficult thing in the Republican party.
Who knows? Maybe Bush thinks he's throwing a bone to those republicans like Arlen Spector who thinks Gonzalez lied. Makes it easier for Bush to get the few republicans who have questioned Bush's strategy in Iraq to come back on board the rowboat.

Karl Rove, Tony Snow, Alberto Gonzalez.

There was an investigation by someone going on within the DOJ. Do you suppose the report was issued and we haven't seen it yet?

My first thought was, "Happy days are here again!"
Then I remembered Bush replaces worst with, "I know he didn't!"
