What the hell is going on?
Why is the Air Force Academy behaving as though the flying machine was invented by the far-Wright Brothers?
Don't equal opportunity considerations require the creation of an American-Jewish Air Force, as well? One that would fly only from right to left? Aren't we also obliged to have an American-Muslim Air Force (fighter pilots and suicide bombers)? Don't the Buddhists deserve an air force? The Moonies (for space flights obviously)? The Scientologists (who come pre-equipped with their very own, original Top Gun)?
These new airmen/prayermen in Colorado Springs fit all-too-neatly in the not so sly, not terribly slow process of bringing the country out of the ecclesiastical closet and calling this a Christian nation; a nation where all men are re-created equally.
Who would have thought, less than 250 years after our ancestors fled the religious persecution in the England of George, the Third, that there are those among us who are thinking of taking reverse flight to escape the same kind of persecution that seems just around the Christian corner in the America of George, the Second?
Two thousand years of bigotry serves as a most effective jack-boot camp. What's going on is as much a matter of the threat of state-sponsored anti-Semitism as it is a denial of Semitism; of being thought of as a guest in a country whose majority tolerates our presence rather than one which guarantees it.
After living through so many years of Democrat leadership, my fear of the unknown, Republican leadership has been replaced by a fear of the known. I know now that we are being governed (bordering on being ruled) by a team that only plays hardball; one that talks out of both sides of the mouths on each of their two faces.
This is a rough, tough crowd; hydra-headed enough to be out of control and in total control at very same time.
Not content with suppressing diverse political and religious thought throughout the land, these gung-holier than thou zealots, through their co-opting of God's co-pilots, now claim mastery of the red, white and wild blue yonder.
