By the end of 2014, it is estimated that 4.7 million mom bloggers will make up the mom blogging community in the United States -- up from 3.9 million mom bloggers in 2013. That's a whole lotta chatter going on amongst moms and there seems to be no end in sight as countless numbers of moms join the "mom blogger" fold in an effort to support each other where society continues to fail them.

Over-stressed, underpaid, and barely heard by just about everyone but themselves for far too long, the emergence of the mom blogger community reflects a very positive response to many years of moms being told that they really don't count after all. Treated like second class citizens despite the excessive contributions moms continued to make to this country and mankind, moms decided to "turn the other cheek" towards those who overlooked and undervalued them. Instead, they banned together to create a community whose sheer numbers and powerful influence is considered to be extremely necessary to win over by politicians, marketing firms, retailers and just about everyone else dealing in corporate America today.

Referred to by some in the mainstream news media as the next major political party to assemble, the "Mom Party," there is no doubt that following the Lord's words has done this community well as their peaceful solution has, undoubtedly, made them a force to be reckoned with. No longer merely validated by each other, those who once looked dismissively at mothers -- individually and as a burgeoning community -- now seek both approval and acceptance from them. Quite the turn of events, especially as the U.S. economy continues to stumble, global affairs grow increasingly concerning, and presidential elections near.

Not only content on heeding the Lord's words, though, the mom blogging community is also committed to carrying out his work as well through countless examples of remarkable sharing, giving, educating, and supporting that span the entire world and make it just that much better to live in. For example, World Moms Blog raises the awareness of issues moms are dealing with on every continent -- providing helpful insight, information, and suggestions to moms who might be coping with those same issues where they live too. No doubt, feeling less alone (especially for single moms) can be half the battle sometimes. Mom Bloggers For Social Good use their 2000 unified voices alongside their social media and blogging platforms to spread the word about the issues that mean the most to moms from maternal health and access to clean water to issues concerning women and girls food security. And all the while, they are walking in the Lord's footsteps, they are teaching each other to cook, making each other laugh, and encouraging each other to live, love, be happy, and appreciate all of the blessings bestowed unto them through their motherhood.

So whether you choose to call them a community, a rising political action, or even a ministry, there is no doubt that mom bloggers have proven just how powerful abiding by the word of the Lord can be. And, as our nation's future continues to unfold, I am certain mom bloggers will continue to "turn the other cheek" but "walk away in silence?" I think those days are behind us... by approximately 4 million voices at present.
