Laura-Marie is the Senior Mann Scholar at Hertford College, Oxford University. Based within Oxford University's Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, her research focuses on Chinese capital market development, with an emphasis on institutional investor behaviour. She is a Visiting Scholar at the Stanford Global Projects Centre (GPC) and the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. Laura-Marie also serves as a Senior Associate at Macro Advisory Partners LLP, where she is part of the China advisory team. Previously, she was a policy analyst at the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the EU Commission and at the Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe (OSCE). She holds a Master’s degree in Political Economy from the University of Oxford and a BSc in International Relations from the University of Manchester and Sciences Po Paris. Born in the former German Democratic Republic, Laura-Marie grew up in East Germany before moving to the UK, where she still lives and works today.
