Lauren McGrath and her mother Suzanne recently launched a blog called Good Bones, Great Pieces. Equal parts fashion and design, it provides readers with a daily guide to style from a unique mother-daughter perspective.

As a former style editor and producer at Martha Stewart Living Television, Suzanne oversaw hundreds of television segments focused on home decorating, collecting, and crafts. She is an alumna of Barnard College and Parsons School of Design. She formed her first Manhattan design firm, Suzanne McGrath Design, in 1990.

Lauren is a graduate of Bowdoin College and a former fashion features writer for Teen Vogue magazine. As a young girl, she followed her mother to countless antique fairs, construction sites, and trips to the D & D building in Manhattan. Not much has changed — the duo still spend their weekends trolling flea markets and consignment stores all over the east coast.

Visit www.goodbonesgreatpieces.com/blog for tips on everything from how to revamp an old family dresser to where to go to get a deal on the latest designer duds.
