Lauren Martin is a doctoral candidate in political geography at the University of Kentucky. She member of Texans United for Families, a coalition of Texas-based organizations advocating for an end to mass detention. She has published articles on homeland security, the Mexico-US border wall, and family detention. With Bob, Lauren is a co-author of "A Prison is Not a Home," a chapter in the upcoming AK Press anthology Beyond Walls and Cages which analyzes the intersection of immigration and the prison industrial complex. She received her MA in Geography and Certificate in Gender and Women's Studies from the University of Kentucky.
