Tuesday's court decision favoring Al Franken in the disputed Minnesota Senate race also serves as a boon to the ongoing fight over the Employee Free Choice Act.
Compared to Burris, Mr. Franken's declared victory in the seemingly endless Minnesota senate battle has generated some cheering, for sure, but surprisingly little laughing or hilarity. And what a shame that is.

Imagine if this memo were in fact genuine, which makes me wonder whose handwriting this actually is, it would speak volumes about the GOP, reminding me of what I've already known for years, since my own family (both natural & in-law from my sister's marriage) is 99% die-hard right-wing Republican. The GOP truly will stop at nothing to seize power, the Constitution be damned, and the people's votes along with it. If the technical quantitative vote count is ultimately in Franken's favor, Coleman would need another corrupt Supreme Court decision from the likes of Scalia & Thomas to save his political backside. Let's hope Franken did in fact win the majority of the actual votes for the sake of a more theoretically progressive Senate in 2009. I only wish Jesse Ventura had decided to run for Senate last year as he suggested to Larry King that he might do. I'm sure he would've blown away the competition & "shocked the world" again as he did in 1998 when he ran for Governor. His politics are far more progressive than anything to emerge from either major party.
Maybe someday more than a fraction of the electorate will wake up and vote for serious independent candidates like Dean Barkley. Dean kept the Independent Party alive for another election with his showing. Dean is a winner in my book.
How's that? The GOP is shameless; they use the Il Gov's lines. No wonder Norm lost to Al.
Does anybody have a copy of McCain's concession to Obabma? That would be pricelss,

Wow, you got me, Lee. I thought the letter was real until I read the last lines. It was funny though.
haha, thanks Duke. What - you don't think Coleman would say "plucking the wings off a butterfly"?
Crumpling and smoothing out the paper was a nice touch.
That line was so funny it *almost* made me spew. Great piece!
I was gonna say...
These days the Rethugs are so stupid its ALL a joke.
Good job Lee.
My best laugh of the day
Thanks
Uh, hullo, everybody. ..this is a JOKE. Lee Camp is a comic.
Not sure you can prove it by this.
At long last, Norm Coleman can devote the rest of his life to hunting for evidence that George Galloway profited from the Oil-for-Food program.
Recall how the George Galloway "matter" disappeared from all media after the public whuppin' Norm received from George? I had forgotten about that.
Nice point. When Galloway said: during the senate hearings Have you no shame? Nice Mcarthy referance.
All Norm could do was let his teeth shine.
Ha ha funny. I wonder if he made this up today or what! Who has the potty mouth now!

Daperd72 I was wondering the same thing-is this memo genuine or not? Wow, pretty nasty but not the nastiest I've seen. Lol.

Hey Larry, I don't have McCain's speech, but awhile back I did post Palin's concession that she was never allowed to give. It's here: http://www .236.com/b log/w/lee_ camp/sarah _palins_re jected_con cessi_1012 6.php
HA! That's even funnier. Love the little nod to Evita.
