I greatly admire you Lee Camp.

No one says it like you.

Eloquent.

PS - here's a government regulated, but privately implemented healthcare program that would actually lower costs. Why is this an up or down vote on one socialized system that less than half the people support? There are alternatives and most of them are better -

Actually, I agree with him for the most part. The police and justice system is sadly inefficient and ineffective. The military needs to be revamped for higher efficiency and less bureaucracy. Many of these programs could disappear and wouldn't have any major impact on our lives. FEMA has been its own disaster with private organizations responding better. Libraries are increasingly irrelevant and expensive to maintain, etc, etc, etc.

The difference is, what is authorized in the constitution and what isn't. Military, yes. Healthcare, no, not at all. In fact the constitution is written in a way that says "if it's not here, it's not constitutional at the national level". State UHC could be legal, depends on the state constitution. But then, we'd have 50 different experiments to see what works and what doesn't. Rather than one GIGANTIC probable disaster that, once it's started, can't be eliminated and almost certainly can't be fixed except to dump more money into it.

+Lee:

down with the idiot talking heads in the main stream media who use the RNC's idiot meme for their talking points without even questioning what socialism has attributed to this country

When someone's breaking into the mansion, rich guys call 911, the socialized police. They do not want "choice", they don't want to have to get the yellow pages to see which private police company to call.

They do not want to call and hear the syntho voice say: " Your call is important, please hold the line for the next available operator. If someone is pointing a gun at you, press '1', if they're climbing in your window, press '2', if you would like the responding officer to carry a gun, press '3'. To hear this message again, press '4'... Please have your credit card ready..."

Fantastic!!

Hey, if they don't want socialism...then they don't have to utilize these services. They can just sit in their dark and dusty homes and not do ANYTHING. We certainly don't need them stinking up the rest of society.

What a bunch of uncaring, mean people that are saying these things. If you go to church, perhaps you need to listen to the sermon and read the bible. What happened to love thy neighbor, and do unto others? Right now, I'm ashamed of people who write and say these things. This is not christian, it's not even humane. If you want all of us, who are under insured or the group who have no insurance to go without care, well we will all get sicker, and it will cost more to care for us. So do you all want the 45 million to just die off, so you can spend money on your wars. Unfreaking believable.

it is really very hard to find any government function that is not a spreading of risks or costs that fall on individuals through the collective. the right only wants the spreading of risks to benefit property ownership in proportion to the amount of property owned. that is socialism based on the needs of property ownership. the rich need more police services for example because they have more property to protect. when it comes to needs based on lack ... well then it is time to name call.
