Mr. Murdoch, Is Obama Really a Chimp?
The idea of course is to get the tongues furiously wagging, get enraged emails, letters and phone calls pouring in, and then put forth the predictable defense calling this and other inflammatory cartoons a parody, a free speech right, and harmless spoofery.

Damn, I'm seeing a whole lotta 'White man's burden' coming out of people in this forum.
Democrats dismissed Ronald Reagan as a dolt and refused to take him seriously using his role in Bedtime for Bonzo to ridicule his intelligence. But what completely escaped them was the fact that when he starred alongside that chimpanzee Reagan was a liberal democrat.
Well, Nancy took care of that.
DEMOCRATIC REPLIES TO THE EVIL DISCOURSE-CONGRATULATIONS
Huff Post is fulfilling an essential democratic role in debunking and denouncing in an instant manner - play by play - the lurid incitements to crime and evil slander of the lunatic right.
Arianna and Lee Camp, keep up the good work.
BONZO LIBERALISM
While we're on the subject of monkeys I can't resist not posting this little diddy on Reagan and Bonzo:
Democrats dismissed Ronald Reagan as a dolt and refused to take him seriously using his role in Bedtime for Bonzo to ridicule his intelligence. But what completely escaped them was the fact that when he starred alongside the chimpanzee Reagan was a liberal democrat.
That is positively brilliant!
Contrary to popular belief, all cartoon monkeys are not caricatures of black people.
that's true,
it's just those allegorically so depicted that cause the present well-deserved outrage.
BINGO!
We have a BINGO!
As I said:
The Cops shoot Monkey Item - Happened; real news item. Caused some to chuckle and joke.
The Cartoon of Cops and dead bullet-riddled chimp. OK. Happened; dark humor.
Captioning the cartoon with the remark they did. Racist. Flagrantly racist.
Two cigar-butt burn holes in a pillow case; racist.
And I know there are many who would give me an "Amen" on that!
Not necessarily. But close.
The cartoon seems to have no other theme then racism/hatred, directed at the President of the United States. Logical progression of thought and association lead the consumer directly to that conclusion. The image, in that respect, is a critical success despite it's abhorrent subject matter. Many talented editorial artists/cartoonists have been pink slipped in recent memory due to budget cuts. That Sean Delones continues to work is a testament to his ability, and poor taste.
Superb, Lee!
It's funny because it's true.
excellent. so very very excellent. You're brilliant.
LEE CAMP: I LOVE YOU!
God bless you. You made my day.
CREATE CREATIVITY, WE STILL HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND CREATIVITY IN THIS COUNTRY.
NOTHING WRONG AND NOTHING TO APOLOGIZE.
KEEP UP WITH THE CREATE WORK
LOVE IT VERY MUCH..
I have a post on my blog that discusses this issue. The link is below:

I read it...thank you.
On the internet, everybody thinks I'm a dawg.
Touché!!
