Somethihg that nobody talks about is the fact that europeans brought
science and technology to the U.S. Physic, Chemistry, Calculus, Metalurgy
came to the U.S from europe where most of it was developed.
The industrial revolution started in Great Britian in the 1700 and spread to
Germany and the U.S. Farm machinery was one of the first things developed
during the industrial revolution and it reduced the amount of human labor required
by over 90% . Most anything from a bicycle to a communication satelite exist
because of technology that europeans brought to the U.S and continued to
develop. Technology is what make the U.S economy one of the most productive
and makes the U.S. wealthy not poorly educated people doing unskilled jobs
and living on welfare.
I live in Houston and go to fast food restuarants all the time and the majority
of people working in them are not mexicans. They are white and speak
perfect english with no foreign accent. Americans obviously do work at these jobs.
Visit California. They are still here, including the 19,000 that Gov. Arnold intends to release out of state prisons into the country in order to save budget money. They still suck $10 billion plus per year from the state's funds to school, house, encarcerate, heal, feed and care for.
They tend the crops and harvest the food you eat. Fruit would rot on the trees, without them. There are over 10 million in Greater Los Angeles alone. Stop complaining and learn Spanish

Illegal immigrants are a barometer of a country's financial health. When the U.S. economy is doing well, immigrants will come here, legal or illegal. Now that the U.S. economy is tanking, they are leaving in droves for their home countries or other places where they can get jobs. Simple as that. Guess O'Reilly and Dobbs will have to focus on other straw men for their nightly shows.

Americans for the most part have forgotten the nobility in hard work, the pure value of it for its own sake. Instead, everyone was taught that you had to go to college to get a mind-job. So, physical labor has been highly devalued.
Remember how we were told that jobs like computer programmer jobs were the way to a secure future, because they couldn't be exported. Now all those jobs are moving overseas, just like the manufacturing jobs before them.
Americans need to remember what built this great nation - hard, physical work. I left the field of computer programming six years ago for a much more physical, yet still mentally interesting job as a therapeutic bodyworker, and have found great reward in the applied movement, in the service of help. I also am starting a business doing cabinetry projects.
Hard work and creativity will be what brings the United States back to greatness again. Become a carpenter or a plumber or electrician or another skilled tradesman. There is great honor in it.
Since we're not building too many houses at the moment there's not much demand for carpenters and skilled tradesman.
We have plenty of carpenters and skilled tradesmen who are American citizens.
After you steal 50 % of a neighboring country's land, some of them come looking for work.

I'm assuming if Russians or Chinese, or people from the Middle East came to your country illegally, in droves, took your jobs, wanted free healthcare, education, stole your identities, came because they just wanted to work, refused to speak your language, you wouldn't find that "scary"? I find it offensive. But then again most illegals do not believe they are doing anything illegal by sneaking into America. Why not fight for your own culture in your own country of origin instead of trying to change America's culture?
I suppose if you actually were part of a coherent culture, this might pass as a rational statement. But of course you do not, and it doesn't.
