On August 29th, 2008 John McCain made his first major Presidential decision by announcing his choice for Vice President - Governor Sarah Palin

It's another in a long line of Bush-McCain appointments that aren't about picking the best person for the job.

Instead, Bush and McCain treat government appointments like a game or a reward for loyalty or a political stunt

But picking qualified people to serve in government matters.

And if you don't believe it, just remember what happened on August 29th, 2005

John McWorse sure knows how to pick 'em.

I guess he really believes that the only job of the VP is "to inquire daily on the health of the President"

So he picks someone with a bachelor's degree in journalism that has no clue what the VP does.

I guess it is completely unreasonable of me to expect that the very first Presidential decision made by McCain would be competant, well thought out and put the well being of the American people and our country's future ahead of his own petty, selfish, conniving, partisan ways of doing business.

Does John McCain realize that if something happens to him, his VP takes over?

Please list Obama's executive qualifications. Name 2 major pieces of legislation he authored.

The point is that 18 million people VOTED for Obama, that he proved he takes the time to THINK before he makes decisions, that he understands what's going on in Afghanistan, etc.

This is about McCain's judgement as a 72 year old man who's had cancer 4 times. He had the choice of people like Kay Bailey Hutchison, Rommney, even Huckabee, and in his judgement was that the best person to take over POTUS if something should happen to him was someone who didn't even know what the VP does??? That's not a man who puts America first, it's a man who will do anything to get elected, even it means picking someone to replace him that he ONLY MET TWICE and doesn't know what the job entails. Are you kidding me...he's become a joke and seems to think the presidency is.

You're right. Obama can talk up a storm. And so far, he's had to make no decisions. I guess he's still thinking.

Senator Obama is a polymath, Sarah Palin is a "Beauty Queen" from Moose-Jaw. Get it !?!

What is there to "get"? You have an opinion and no argument? I get it.

S.453: Deceptive Practices and Voter Intimidation Prevention Act of 2007.

S.433: Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007.

Yeah, I agree, they're not "major" pieces of legislation according to Boikin's arbitrary standard.

You're right about them not being major. Now a harder one: name one piece of legislature that Obama authored that made its way out of the Democratic controlled Congress. That should test his ability to persuade the other party.

Oh, PUH - LEEEZE.

If THIS is the comparative with which you'd like Obama and Palin go toe-to-toe, WE'RE READY FOR THAT DEBATE.

Now, take a breath, and think for a second, and then THINK FOR MAYBE FIVE MORE MINUTES.

Do you REALLY think that Sarah Palin can take on her ACTUAL DEBATE opponent, Joseph Biden -- let alone BARACK OBAMA, her superior in ANY arena of comparison -- when it comes to comparisons of intellect, accomplishment or character?

Dude, you're so full of it, it's coming out your pores.

And so put of your depth, any sight of the top of your head is a distant memory.

Pitiful. Just pitiful.

You're loaded with assumptions, presumptions, straw man arguements and name-calling. Are you in college?

Why should administrative experience or acumen even matter? Consider these:

(1) Palin: she has guns, and she has boobs -- every libertarian's wet dream! What's not to like?
(2) You're wasting your time making useless videos. You shut up, we talk.
(3) You folks are just being sexist by bringing up her beauty queen experience.
(4) "We, the People" say this: McCain + Palin good, Obama + Biden bad! How dare you elitist elitists set yourself up against "We, the People"! Anyone who pits himself against "We, the People" is doomed to fail!
(5) McCain was a POW. Why do you hate our troops so much?

Real insightful. When bumper stickers and sarcasm equals intelligence, you'll get that call from Mensa.

McCain's manifest incompetence and utter contempt for the safety and well being of the people of this country is the same as the Bush administration. It is so painful to witness. The prospect of another oil lobbyist selected stooge in the White House confirms the ethical bankrupcy of the Republican Party.
