(WATCH) One Month Before Election, Obama Opposed Tax He's Now Pushing

This video seems to be striking a nerve. In the day since I made and released it, it's been featured by sites and people as diverse as FireDogLake, RedState, Politico, David Sirota and RJ Eskow.

I've been called a "Republican shill" and worse even though my support for Obama was public, adamant and easily researched. Friends of mine like Bob Cesca have suggested the video is irresponsible.

I've made a lot of videos that follow the formula of 'campaign ad' - short, 30 second or one minute spots that played like commercials you'd see on TV. This isn't that tricky for me because I've produced spots that have actually been on TV. This video isn't slick. It's rough and sloppier than I'd like. But it's real. I made it in the middle of the night and I was pissed off.

I'm not mad because President Obama hasn't worked hard enough for real health care reform. I'm mad because he's worked hard against real health care reform. The key elements of the bill such as the 'Cadillac' tax, the individual mandate, and elements agreed to in Obama's backroom the PhARMA deal are all things that Candidate Obama specifically ran against.

This video points that out clearly. That doesn't sit well with some people but it's time for Obama voters to hold him accountable and stop making excuses. The denial and 'kill the messenger' sentiments made by Obama's supporters are creating bad legislation and will lead to electoral disaster in 2010 and 2012.

If you voted for Obama and this video doesn't piss you off, there's something wrong.
