Lesley Cohen founder of VenueSafari.com, a curated wedding blog dedicated to the ins and outs of wedding venue selection, brings over a decade of experience in the wedding and event industry. For the past six years she has headed up her own wedding and event design and management company, LelyCo Events, specializing in high-end weddings for clients in the Washington, D.C.-area and destination weddings in Florida and the Caribbean. Her weddings and events have been featured in magazines and blogs including Washingtonian Bride & Groom, The Knot DC, Brides Washington Magazines, and Destination I Do Magazine’s blog.

She has also been honored with The Knot’s Best of Weddings 2010 and Best of Weddings Editor’s Pick 2011 award, WeddingWire.com Bride’s Choice Awards for 2011 and was just named one of D.C.'s top wedding planners by Washingtonian magazine.

Lesley holds a Master’s Degree in Tourism Administration with a concentration in Event & Meeting Management from George Washington University’s School of Business and received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Central Florida. She lives just outside of the District of Columbia with her cute
husband, two munchkin-faced daughters, and dog that looks like a mop.
