Many of you resolved to face 2016 with a renewed commitment to improving your health. There are 10 things I prescribe to patients for a healthy new year. Follow these resolutions and they will help keep your kidneys and the rest of your body in tune. What's great about this list is that you can get some quick gratification from working some of the easier tasks, while tracking your progress on the long-term goals that will help you change your habits over time. Here's my prescription for a healthy, kidney-friendly 2016!
- Eat breakfast. Breakfast didn't earn its reputation as the most important meal of the day for no reason. Studies show you're less likely to overeat during the day if you eat a healthy breakfast in the morning.
