-- As legislators and activists in Illinois continue the fight to legalize same-sex marriage, just next door in Indiana, Republicans in the House and Senate are introducing measures to ban gay marriage in the state's constitution.

-- President Obama has chosen Pastor Louie Giglio of Georgia to deliver the inaugural benediction, and Think Progress is reporting that the pastor has "preached rabidly anti-LGBT views."

-- David Hoover, a former board member of the Metro DC PFLAG chapter, is a congregant at the National Cathedral, which announced on Wednesday that it will now perform same-sex weddings. Hoover reacted to the news in a press release. "This Sunday, as I walk up the stairs to my spiritual home, I will be especially proud of my congregation. As I do a reading from the altar, I will imagine the joy of other openly gay members of my church will feel when they are in the same location pledging their love to each other before God and their families," he said.
