Linda Daly is a former Special Education teacher with a broad range of experience beginning at MacLaren Children’s Center where she prepared Los Angeles County foster youth in achieving their General Education Diplomas. She served as a foster parent to an 18 year old girl and her three year old son. Linda has worked with severely emotionally disturbed children at The Help Group in Los Angeles and has taught Art and History at Westmark School. She is a graduate of American University in Washington DC with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Literature.

Linda currently divides her time between managing a Malibu ranch and her active involvement in local and international non-profit organizations. She is Board President of Children’s Circle, formerly Caring for Children and Families with Aids, a Los Angeles based foster group home and family support program which has expanded its services to include children with major medical needs. While serving as President, she increased fundraising and programs offered, while expanding the Board to allow continuous growth of the Agency.

Linda is also the Social Action Committee Chair at Wilshire Boulevard Temple where she has introduced local and international community service opportunities to the congregation. She coordinated a congregational-wide collection and shipment of personal hygiene items for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Linda became interested in the plight of the Sudanese causing her to coordinate a second collection and shipment. This time sending educational supplies and sporting goods to Darfur, Sudan.

Linda’s recent introduction to an international relief organization has deepened her passion for helping those in need. She has traveled through the refugee camps in Chad bearing witness to the unspeakable treatment of the people.

She is committed to raising awareness to the ongoing atrocities and devastating genocide being suffered by the people of Darfur.

Linda Daly lives in Los Angeles with her two children, Leo and Julianna.
