Using The Law Of Attraction During Election Time

As the voting time heats up toward November, remember that you have the power to allow the information you want to have access to you. You don't have to be an emotional punching bag for the news or strangers who disagree, especially when much of it may not even be factual. Use the Law of Attraction to your advantage.

I always dread elections because they seem to bring out more of the worst then the best in people and the present election is no exception. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, in the history of elections this one is the most horrific in terms of rage and falsehoods. Life feels as if negativity is overtaking positivity. And during this entire time, violence seems to have increased with people reacting with emotion to everything, rather than responding with respect and contemplation through reason. The thing is, these actually are positive times and the problem may be in our negative focus. I have clients calling every day with worry and fright over the politics and violence.

That got me to thinking. Are we paying too much attention to negative media and posts and because that's our focus, we become more negative and stressed? I tend to believe that may be the case. It's our duty to ourselves to keep the bad stress away so that we can move forward in a healthy manner. I am a believer in the universal Law of Attraction in that like attracts like and we manifest to us what we lend our most focus to.

Here are my suggestions on how you can use this universal law:

-Don't mistake social media as your newspaper, and be sure to read passed the caption or headline. Too many people assume what the article or blog is about based on the title alone, which leads to mistaken information being shared.
-Not everyone nor every post or blog is a reliable source. Just because someone has an insulting and/or opposing opinion to yours means you should ignore them. Paying attention will only empower them and lead to confrontation. Besides, you will never change the person's mind, so why waste time and energy on a "debater?"
-Only reply to the positive comments and posts so that you are encouraging what you want and not what you don't want to transpire. That is the single most way to champion your own candidates and/or plights whether it's election time or not.
