CODEPINK Builds a Playground in Gaza: It's all About the Children!

It was with enormous pleasure that I watched CODEPINK build a playground in Gaza, where children are spared the ravages of war to be as they should be: happy, joyous and free.

As angry uprisings take place in Iran over the questionable "re-election" of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. As innocents are murdered at every corner of this planet - indeed at every corner - when considering those at its furthest coordinates suffering the effects of global warming brought on by human greed -- there appears on this day a message of hope that can make us all smile.

Regardless of ideology, the common denominator I would hope true adults will agree on is that all children are ours to protect. The clear right of passage to be an adult is the knowledge that our principal obligation is to protect and serve the world's children; that all children are precious and should be accorded their mutual rights to safety and joy.

Thus it was with enormous pleasure that I watched the video (below) of CODEPINK honoring its adult moral obligation to safeguard and provide for children by building a playground where children are spared the ravages of war to be as they should be: happy, joyous and free; no longer the victims of chronological adults who spurn their obligation to protect them, but the pride of true adults who cherish their very existence.

Thank you, CODEPINK, for always rising above the slings and arrows that are flung at you. Thank you for your inspired dedication to peace and for being adults who take seriously our obligation to serve children -- our planet's most precious gifts. I join with those who herald your good deeds and take comfort in knowing that you will never stop waging peace!!

Thank you!!!
