Lisa Gans is a human rights lawyer in who has worked with non-governmental organizations in Egypt, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Swaziland and Iraq. She specializes in legal and constitutional development, civil society development, women's rights, and refugee issues. She holds a B.A. from Harvard in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. Lisa is currently a term member of the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations.
