Dr. Lisa Sutherland served as a Scientific Advisory Panel Member at Guiding Stars Licensing Company and is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Senior Nutrition Scientist with the Hood Center for Families and Children at Dartmouth Medical School. She has a Ph.D. in Nutrition from the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina and has specialized expertise in nutrition intervention and policy, health communication and behavior theories. Her work includes studying the impact that media, marketing and family influences have on the diet and physical activities of children, and using this research to create and evaluate programs, interventions and policies aimed at preventing and reducing the risk of obesity in children. She is also the mom of an 8 and 16 year old.
