Liv Ullmann was a co-founder of the Women's Commission for Refugee Women and Children and remains a passionate advocate for the rights of women, children and adolescent refugees worldwide. She is an Oscar-nominated actress and, recently, a film director. She is currently working on A Streetcar Named Desire, directing a cast that includes Cate Blanchett. The play will run at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
