I can't help but ask, How many incredibly destructive weather events have there been in the U.S. in the last few years?
People died. Homes were destroyed. Our beaches are disappearing, tidal surges are more common. I have lived a good amount of time on this earth, and I do not remember anything like these storms.
Experts are now saying that Sandy was not a freak storm... we can expect severe weather events in the future. Neither candidate have addressed the climate issue fully in their campaigns for President. What are their plans? This is a global issue because our earth is struggling and all the world's children will suffer.
Lady Liberty is drowning. Are we going to let her go down without a fight? We are days away from the presidential election, but it's not too late to discuss global warming today.
