A while back, we over at Shoot The Messenger did a little bio of Dr. Laura pre "N"-word rant. It gives a little historical context to her messages of tolerance.
Hadn't listened to Dr Laura in a decade, had forgotten she even had a show. From what I have observed, there's never been a moment when she wasn't completely hideous and vile, and if there are people who actually go to her seeking guidance, then we're in trouble.

That was hilarious and you hit the nail on the head. This super hypocrite will have a show on Fox soon, no doubt. Her brand of hatred is right up their alley.

It seems the" N" word or the "S" word or the" W" word is Ok to use by those of that particular ethnic background but if any other person says it then its Hell to pay. Something is very wrong here !! and makes absolutely no sense at all. We have become a Country where sensitivitly is the issue of the day and makes major headlines. It seems no matter what you say or do today belongs under a microscope and therein lies our problem. Common sense no longer prevails and what is with all these apologies? There is more harm than good being done by exploiting all of this to a point where it has a negative effect. No apology will correct what has been said because it is believed to be hollow and not at all sincere...and that is mostly true...People speak from their inner beliefs and feelings and the first time around is usually what they really meant to say. To go back and try to make amends only makes it worse. We have had so many examples of this over the past few years from Celebrities to Evangelists to Politicians...hey !! this is the human race..and we do have faults.

Yes, use of particular words by particular affected group carries a much different meaning when said by someone outside of that group and it's not always about race. I have gay friends who feel at liberty to call one another by terms that those outside of the gay community dare not use because those words are otherwise derogatory. It is also not appropriate for just anyone to call us baby, honey, or some other term of endearment, which I think we all understand, but when it comes to the n-word, some whites (Dr. Laura, Imus)want to pretend that they don't understand this distinction is word usage. In other words, if blacks can do it why can't I, which re-iterates the ruling in the Dred Scot case, a black man has no rights that a white man has to honor. If she had made desparaging remarks about the gay community or about Sarah Palin, there would have been hell to pay.

"What you say or do being under a microscope" is called being accountable. And why are some white folks so interested in the "equality" of being able to use the N-word? I know it's sooo unfair...

This human garbage will find another outlet to spew her hatred. Their are enough on the right that seek such a divisive person. Fox news here she comes. The good news is that if even for a moment she got her slap down... and its been long overdue.

An animated picture of you is off putting.
Would you consider using a real photo,

This is written to be funny, and yet it's slower than a funeral march.
And she has the teeth to say it with.
