I would like to spread a false rumor, and I'd like all of you out there to help me. Here is the rumor:
Ron Paul has just announced that he would "consider" Hillary Clinton as his running mate.
In addition to writing many television shows and columns, Lloyd Garver has also read many books, some of them in hardcover. He can be reached at lloydgarver@gmail.com. Check out his website at lloydgarver.com

Two failing presidential candidates collaborating to win the presidency?
That's an idea that's going nowhere!
Ron Paul may not manage to become president, but he is NOT a failure.
There is no question that he is a failure as a presidential candidate.
I even threw you a bone by using "failing" rather than "failed" since the RuPaul nation keeps insisting that he's still in it.
William F. Buckley,G*d rest his sole, could be wrong and witty at the same time. This blogger is wrong, but missed on the witty.
Oh Lloyd, you're so clever and smug. To read your bio one would assume you had some class.
How juvenile. Grow up already.
Careful. You never know which mention of "on-R'ay aul-P'ay" is going to trigger the whooshing sound of HuffPost's bandwidth disappearing into a bottomless thread of conspiratorial rant.
wRong Paul's groupies have apparently stopped stalking the HuffPost.
They went back to the basement.
I'm still here! Miss me?
I certainly dont see Ron Paul DENYING this.
If he does deny it, that will only prove it must be true. Otherwise, why would he make the effort to deny it. Q.E.D.
Hillary wants anybody that is Republican. Heck, she has been promoting MCcain and cutting Obama down. She has her surrogate Ferraro, Bill, Wolfson, Penn, Caputo and the rest of them lining up on Fox and Limbaugh to destroy Obama and the Party. I would not be surprised by any other gutter move the Clintons make. They are all monsters.
Apparently sarcasm is lost on the commenters of this post so far. He's making a point about how ridiculous Hillary's "offer" to Obama was.
Thanks for explaining what was already a pallid attempt.
A match made in poliltical heaven... But, Hillary should be so lucky....
I don't care what anyone else says, Lloyd, I thought it was funny. Of course, I break out in uncontrollable laughter every time I hear the name, "Ron Paul." Go figure.
Makes as much sense as Hill offering #2 spot to the obvious leader...
You could say -
"Ron Paul has just announced that he would "consider" Hillary Clinton as his running mate-as far as I know"
I guess Ron Paul doesn't mind that Hillary won't release her taxes for public scrutiny.
This is inappropriate.
I would like take this time to clear up some rumors.
HRC is not a Mormon. To the best of my knowledge.
That's also inappropriate.
The rumor really is that HRS is not a right wing supporter of John McCain, as far as I know.
("HRS.")
