Home medical kits are all the rage these days. There are kits for home pregnancy tests, for blood pressure, for diabetes, etc. The latest is the Home Paternity Kit selling for as little as $29 (plus a lab fee that's probably in small print). No longer do you have to wonder who the father of that kid is. And why go through the expense and embarrassment of a visit to a medical professional who actually knows what he or she is doing? Now, you can do this at home. But ladies, don't think you can sneak up on that guy you live with while he's sleeping. No, the test requires a good 45 seconds of swabbing the inside of the cheek. Of course, if you had stuck to 45 seconds of swabbing the inside of the cheek, you wouldn't need the paternity test.
