Lori Hansen Riegle served as a Democratic Senate appointee to the Social Security Advisory Board, which advises the Commissioner of Social Security, the Congress and the President on Social Security policy and administration. She has served as a policy analyst for the National Academy of Social Insurance; technical assistant to Robert Ball, former Commissioner of Social Security, in his capacity as a member of the Greenspan Commission on Social Security Reform; as a professional legislative staff member for the Senate Committee on Labor and Human Resources, Subcommittee on Employment, Poverty and Migratory Labor, chaired by Senator Gaylord Nelson (D-WI) and for the Senate Select Committee on Nutrition and Human Needs, chaired by Senator George McGovern (D-SD). Active in Democratic politics in Michigan and nationally, Lori is married to Senator Don Riegle (D-MI) who served in the Senate from 1976 - 1995 and the House of Representatives from 1967 - 1976. She currently serves as a member of the Retirement Security Policy Committee for Obama for America.

Having lost the national elected delegate race, Hillary Clinton now wants to count the popular vote from Michigan in her campaign's efforts to change the rules of the nomination race. It's a fraudulent argument as the Michigan primary ballot did not offer Democrats real candidate choices.
