Lorna Byrne
Lorna Byrne is an international number 1 bestselling author (her last two books have gone straight in at #1 on the UK Sunday Times Chart) with more than a million readers around the world. Her books, Angels in my Hair, Stairways to Heaven, A Message of Hope from the Angels and Love from Heaven have been translated into 30 languages.

Lorna has been seeing angels since she was a baby. Very unusually, she sees angels physically with as much clarity as the rest of us see people and she sees them every day. This diminutive, soft-spoken, uneducated Irish woman who did not talk about what she was seeing until seven years ago, says she has no idea why she can see angels when others can’t, adding that she is just an ordinary person.

While it is difficult to believe that someone can see angels physically the clarity and hope inherent in Lorna’s message that everyone regardless of religion has a guardian angel, has made her a world-wide phenomenon. She has been featured extensively in respected European media - including BBC TV and Radio, The Economist, The Observer, The Telegraph, The Times, The Catholic Herald.

An important part of Lorna’s message is that she sees a guardian angel with everyone regardless of religion (or lack of religion). Lorna’s recent work has included events in New York with Sunni and Shia Muslims where Lorna invited Nobel Peace Prize winner Betty Williams to share the Northern Ireland experience of bringing together people of different faiths.

I was out walking in the Irish countryside near where I live -- when a faint shape appeared in the sky like a transparent mountain, reaching right up into the heavens.

I knew immediately what it meant.

I looked again and saw a...

Why President Obama Needs to Listen to American Muslims

(8) Comments | Posted September 1, 2014 | 5:23 AM

My heart is torn, as are many people's, about what is going on in Syria, Iraq, Iran and the whole region. There is already so much suffering and I am being told that there could be so much more if we don't act to stop it. Many countries may feel...

How Syria Could Affect the Future of Humanity

(3) Comments | Posted May 14, 2014 | 3:09 AM

I keep being shown crowds of children, thousands and thousands of them walking around clinging to each other, bewildered, not understanding how their parents have been killed, how their homes have been destroyed and how their very lives are in danger. I am shown these innocent children learning to hate,...

Why American Muslim Unity is So Important to World Peace

The divisions between different strands of Islam are creating, or adding, strife in so many parts of the world. A point very well made in this article by award winning Middle East expert Robert Fisk.

While American Sunni and Shia Muslims may not be in...

Clarence Had No Need to Earn His Wings

(0) Comments | Posted December 23, 2013 | 1:33 PM

Clarence had no need to earn his wings, there are no angels second class, no head angels, no angel who has the "IQ of a rabbit". But despite these anomalies I love the film It's a Wonderful Life.

Angels are an everyday part of my life. Strange as it...

I know that I and others have been given near death experiences so we can share our experience and make people understand that death is not to be feared and that Heaven is real.

I know there are people who struggle with the idea of near death experiences, some of...

Why We Should all Pray for Assad

(29) Comments | Posted September 5, 2013 | 7:19 AM

We all need to stop for a moment and realise that violence begets violence. It's a never ending cycle of revenge. Military force is not the answer.

Many people, in Syria and outside, including our leaders are feeling hopeless and that the only action available is to use weapons. Making...

Each and every one of us will personally feel the pain and emptiness created by the loss of Nelson Mandela, even if we don't recognize it. I write this in the knowledge that by the time you read this he may already have gone home to Heaven.

You have a guardian angel whether you believe it or not. Your guardian angel is a gift from God and loves you unconditionally and to it, you are the most important person in the world.

We have been trivializing angels for some time -- turning them into good luck charms...

Breaking Down the Walls Between Different Religions

When I talk of the importance of people of different religions coming together to pray, the response is frequently, "Oh, we are already doing that."

I am told though that most of the time the way that people of different religions are praying together is constrained and limited -- limited...

True Love Begins With Self-Love

(37) Comments | Posted February 14, 2013 | 3:00 PM

At this time of the year it's very easy to believe that romantic love is the-be-all-and-end-all of love.

This is so untrue. Self-love is the most important form of love. If you don't love yourself you cannot love anyone else properly. Most of us don't love ourselves enough, we judge...
