LOUISA WILLCOX is NRDC's wild bears project director and is based in Livingston, Montana. From 1997-2002, she served as project coordinator for the Sierra Clubs grizzly bear ecosystems project, a campaign to recover the grizzly in the lower 48 states. Louisa served as program director for the Greater Yellowstone Coalition from 1985-1995. In addition to her NRDC work, she is the board president of Grizzly People. She holds a master's degree from the School of Forestry at Yale University and a bachelor's degree from Williams College. She blogs on NRDC’s Switchboard.
