The Return of the Sloths (VIDEO)

Posted: 11/05/10 01:54 PM ET

Six months ago I posted a short video I made called "Meet the sloths" that features some of the sleepy residents of the Aviarios del Caribe, the world's only sloth orphanage in Costa Rica. The world then went nuts for sloths, the video went viral and has now been watched by more than 2 million people around the world. I'm now producing a full length documentary that follows legendary sloth whisperer Judy Arroyo and her crew of sloth wranglers over a year at the sanctuary as they rescue orphaned baby and injured adult sloths, rehabilitate them and release them back into the wild.

WATCH the sloths get potty trained at the orphanage:

Chances are pretty good she does this out of a passion for helping the species and she doesn't get paid at all. I don't think the public realizes that's the case with most animal rescue groups. If she makes anything, it's probably just enough to get by.
