Senator Biden's Night

digg Share this on Facebook Huffpost - stumble reddit del.ico.us RSS

This was Senator Biden's night.

Given the challenges our nation now faces, we need a vice president who can be persuasive with foreign leaders, tough with congress, and relentless in his drive to serve the American people. Tonight, Joe Biden showed why he is the right person for that job.

On question after question, he demonstrated knowledge, careful thought, and a willingness to make hard decisions. And with every answer, he vindicated Senator Obama's judgment and showed why he is considered one of our nation's wisest and most experienced leaders.

He was equally at home with global and local issues, demonstrated an amazing grasp of facts, and gave proof that he is prepared to be a partner who will contribute much as vice-president to solving our nation's problems.

Americans could not help but conclude that any president would be stronger and more confident with Joe Biden by his side.

I am a fan from Alaska and want you to know that you are a role model for my four daughters who I hope grow up strong and compassionate and have a true love of knowledge and diplomacy. I cannot say how much I admire you. We need your help in these trying times!

I saw you on "Iconoclasts" and that is when my faith in people who want to do the right thing was strengthened.

Elegant and eloquent.
Senator Biden is intelligent too and knows what he is talking about.
Such a difference from the Republican Sarah-who is dim witted,
graceless and should do the world a favor and resign.

Madam Secretary, I would be hard pressed to name a female in politics that I admire more than you. For me, you represent the best of the American Dream.

Please do not allow Palin to continue to misquote you for political gain.

Thank you for everything you do and everything you represent.

Thank you Madeleine Albright........as usual, you are right on point! Senator Biden has the intelligence and the wisdom to make sound decisions as 2nd in command or if the need should arise, as president!
Sarah Palin came across as someone who had crammed for a final and was reciting back her memorized lines....which is why she couldn't answer the questions posed by Gwen Ifill! Her inability to answer questions may seem cute to the Republicans, but to the rest of America, whose looking for leaders who actually know what they're doing and can apply their intelligence to the problems that face this country.....CUTE just isn't enough! Intelligence and wisdom win hands down, which is why Senator Obama & Senator Biden should & must be the next President and VP of our country!!!

To those supporting Palin's language: How far do you think she would get if she were interviewing for the vice-president of a CORPORATION?

Like yourself I am a Hillary Clinton supporter and now Obama is my candidate. I am increasingly becoming frustrated, some times I can not believe how irresponsible McCain could be, bringing Palin to be the running mate. How dare he and she should have declined it. Palin is a good mother and a nice person perhaps, but what does she really say ? Has anyone really have followed any of her sentences she utters ?

The empress has no clothes on, we know it the Republicans know it and the whole world sees it...

This is NOT a sexist remark, it is just the facts: How many of you females out there have been around Palin's "type" ~ you know, the obnoxious goody-two shoes phony, who really is the complete opposite; it is beyond annoying. Palin was worse than I thought possible; it was a one-sided debate and clearly, Joe Biden was the more intelligent of the two: He provided points to ponder, all the while Palin kept returning, full-circle, to her energy diatribe (the only subject she could speak about and not sound like a robot/parrot). Somebody said it earlier, Biden showed up for the debate and Palin showed up for the debate, but it was a high-school type atmosphere in her tiny, little mind. Palin was so wound up, like the Energizer Bunny, who probably would have made better sense than she did. Come on people, this was a national/V.P. debate and Palin's winking and "don't cha knowing so often, and to cap it off: She gives school credit to Mrs. xxx class, for a shout-out; this was not a high-school debate, and yet Palin took us there, whether we wanted to, or not. She NEVER made the effort to give the public what their ticket would do, not in specific terms because she is incapable of doing so.

The republicans are wounded and dangerous and its october. They can do or say anything now and they will, so think ahead , whats coming? Rev Write, Maybe a tape of Ben Laden. Obamas advisers need to figure it out and counter act it. I just heard McCain on t.v. and he said theres a town hall meeting coming and then will all know who the liberals are. Whats he got on his mind? A game changer , thats for sure. Remember 2004 and John Kerry, The swiftboaters, Ben Laden tape.

Wounded and dangerous... I think that is an accurate assesment. I am sure that Team Obama is ready for just about anything.

Thank You for your brief and honest assessment Madame! It gives everyone hope in the World that there is still honesty, decency and sanity left in the U.S. No other words need to said.

Congratulations Senator Biden. You give us hope!

The bar was set so low for Sarah Palin that she was able to come out and some people thought she actually did well...or at least pretty good.
There was no substance to her answers or policies. She was rude and in your face and all I could think of was how I would love to see her debate Hilary Clinton or any other women who could freely call her on her "cuteness". Which has brought her a long way and which at this moment I hope most americans see as empty. We need so much more in our leaders. She attached the East coast, Goverment, the Congress,Media and mocked "the other ticket" and leaders of other countries that she would clearly like to go to war with. Is this the type of leader we want? I don't. I want our leaders to be wiser and more worldly than I. I want to see in them an ability to see a bigger picture to peace in the world. To be great negotiators of world peace and prosperity. To be strong and smart. To believe in our Constitution and rights for all people. To be compassionate and not greedy.
Sarah Palin is George Bush. She is every disasterous policy that he has implmented. McCain is desperate and will stop at nothing to be president.
We are better than this! Let's show them and take back America in November. Their nonsense has cost us dearly. Lets all Vote!
