Madeleine Daepp is a food activist who has been recognized for her work with both the Harry S. Truman and Morris K. Udall federal scholarships. While in St. Louis, she started a school garden and coordinated a cooking program to provide healthy dinners for city children. She has conducted research in urban food access, volunteerism, and agricultural economics. Currently, she is studying the distribution of food outlet locations in Vancouver, Canada.
