"I Dressed Up as Tina Fey for Halloween" Snapped Sarah Palin

2008-09-14-tinaSarah.jpg

If you're wondering what Sarah Palin thought about Tina Fey's spot-on impression of her on last night's season premiere of Saturday Night Live, Palin's only comment was that she had once dressed up as Tina Fey for Halloween. Seems she's not nearly so charming without a script written by Fact Forger. Of all the remarks she might have made, the one she did make seems the most alienating.

According to CNN's Dana Bash who was on Palin's campaign plane at the time SNL aired their 34th season premiere, Palin was watching it behind a curtain, but her remark was overheard.

Maybe Palin should hang out with Fey who could teach her how to pronounce nuclear. Then again, maybe not.

Palin, who appears in photos to be pulling away from McCain's embraces (not that there's anything wrong with that), is stumping on her own, leaving the Republican presidential nominee to ponder his chances if Palin can't keep her new fanbase as more facts about her beliefs continue to emerge.

Perhaps they should bill themselves as Father Time and Mother Nutter.

There is no real Sarah Palin, there's only Tina Fey.

Oh snap! I’m sure Sarah thought she had the scariest Halloween costume- an intelligent, successful, progressive woman.

I think that's another lie. HOW COULD SHE DRESS LIKE TINA FEY? That doesn't even make sense. Tina Fey doesn't have a distinct style because she is a comedian. ???

Oh, boo hoo, the insufferably smug Tina Fey gets a little jab, and you all have a nervous breakdown. You can dish it out but can't take it. Good for Sarah.

Both salubrious and lugubrious concurrently.

I had predicted that if the Repubs made it to the oval office that McCain and Palin would be at each others throats like rabid timberwolves by 4th of July 09. I'm amending that to at each other's throats sometime between election day and inauguration day... if not sooner.

I was at the first stop on Good Morning America's whistle stop tour - Worcester, MA. A large group of Obama-Biden supporters, mostly women, turned out to send a message to America. One held a hand-printed sign that read, "HOCKEY MOMS FOR OBAMA."

Another woman displayed the message, "We need a BLINKER who is a THINKER."

Working women, middle class women--how about ARIZONA WOMEN?

Curious about what we have to say about the election? Here it is, our own homemade video:

Hockey moms beware. This is what McPalin is going to do to your employer based healthcare. You won't be able to afford to get your kids stitched up when they get off the ice.

Halloween? I'd think a good evangelical like herself would have nothing to do with such an evil "pagan" holiday.

Fyi, Ann and Nancy Wilson of the band 'Heart' have joined the chorus of marquee-name musicians who are demanding that the McCain-Palin campaign stop using their songs. Some are suing, including Jackson Browne.

ABBA has also issued a cease-and-desist letter to McCain-Palin. There goes the Mama Mia vote.

Very good article. How do you think I would look on Halloween dressed as Sarah WHO???

Posted by a 65 year old, retired male who used to be a Republican and who is bitter ( and Yes, I live in PA. in a town smaller than Wissala Alaska ).

I am now a registered Democrat and will vote for Senator Obama and Senator Biden in November.

And she's supposed to represent Christian values - I'd rather go to hell than to follow Palin - because if Palin's in heaven - I'm sure Jesus won't be there!!

Also, is she is such a devoted christian... What was she doing celebrating Halloween???.... and Does she have any pics of her wearing the "custome"? Maybe this is another lie!

Much like she co-opted the "Thanks but no thanks" AFTER the bridge project was taken off the table, I'm sure this is just spin.

Perhaps the true story is that she was walking down the street in October when someone remarked that she looked like Tina Fey.

That makes a little more sense, since it has already been pointed out that Tina Fey, being an actor/writer/comedienne doesn't have a "look" to be costumed!

Quite interesting that Sarah Palin's spokesperson has tried to turn the originally-overheard remark around and play it off as a quip to show how self-effacing and funny Palin is.

Unfortunate that the press beat Palin to the punch.

(Those darned liberal reporters and their insistence on freedom of the press. Once Sarah takes over, she'll shut THEM up but good. Today, she just aims for poor rape victims, hippie small-town librarians, and that snotty Tina Fey. Tomorrow, ... the WORLD.)

Wow Sarah...that was kind of like "oh yeah?" but not nearly as clever. Good try tho. Maybe you should have said that you dressed up as Tina Fey with lipstick. That might have worked better for you.
