Marc Klein makes his feature film directorial debut with Suburban Girl, which has its world premiere during the Tribeca Film Festival. Klein also adapted the screenplay from the critically acclaimed, New York Times bestseller, The Girls’ Guide to Hunting and Fishing. Klein based his screenplay on two short stories from the book.
Most recently Klein wrote the screen adaptation of Peter Mayle’s novel, A Good Year starring Russell Crowe and directed by Ridley Scott. His previous feature credits include the Miramax hit film Serendipity, which starred John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. A graduate of NYU Film School, Klein sold his first script, Love, Jenny, to Overbrook Entertainment as a starring vehicle for Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Klein has also co-written Instant Message for director Jay Roach at Village Roadshow and Warner Bros.
