Free speech. Yah I got it. I love it. This country is founded on it.
But does that mean that the hateful rantings of a pitiable and mentally deranged person should be given full access to the airwaves?
I question why the Today show or any show would continually give Ann Coulter a platform on which to spew her language of hate. I believe if Ann Coulter were a man she would have been called on for what she is... a psychotic hate mongerer who will say anything to keep a camera on her. But because she could be considered in some circles attractive ( if you like the dyed blond, anorexic type - which some men in America clearly do) she is continually given a platform on show after show to vent her twisted views on our world and not be challenged or seen as the heartless narcissist that she is. Instead Matt Lauer looks stunned, Bill Maher keeps having her back cause he is amused by her, Tucker Carlson can't wait to hear what she has to say. What is going on here? Her audience seems to be made of the male dominated media that she brilliantly manipulates. See how far a fat, bald guy with glasses could get saying this..."And by the way, how do we know their husbands weren't planning to divorce these harpies? Now that their shelf life is dwindling, they'd better hurry up and appear in Playboy." Ann Coulter actually stands behind this statement.
I have nothing against Playboy. Hugh Hefner is a champion of Free Speech and always has been. But Coulter's ravings belong on a street corner. Not on national television.
